What Is This Freedom All About?

What is the U. S. Constitution and Bill of Rights?

Many Americans think that these documents have some kind of power to ensure our rights as citizens and may even get outraged when others seem to ignore or blatantly deny these rights. The truth is these documents only express the American founder's ideals of basic human freedoms.

Our Constitution was designed to form a body (government) to insure and preserve these basic rights; mainly from foreign powers, imposing their oppression of these basic rights. The guaranty of these rights only exist due to the citizens  willingness to demand them; even if they must fight for them as this country did against the English Empire.

The real power is in the people, not the paper.

We as Americans must brush aside our petty differences and unite again to defeat tyranny. This time it is domestic as well as abroad.
